Let’s face it—losing teeth isn’t really something that is going to go on your bucket list. But because of age, an irresponsible bite on a hard samosa, or decades of dreading the dentist, tooth loss happens to us all.
And no, it’s not just about looks (though who doesn’t want to show off a healthy grin?). It’s harder to eat, speak, and even laugh at a joke when you’ve got gaps in your smile. The best thing? You don’t have to live that way.
Complete dentures are a tried and true, budget-friendly, and surprisingly comfortable fix for restoring your smile and quality of life. And if you happen to be in Hyderabad, Partha Dental has expert care that’s as compassionate as it is budget-friendly.
Here, in this blog, we will be discussing the types of full dentures, the process, and—everyone’s favorite question— cost of dentures in Hyderabad (spoiler alert: we make it affordable).
Let’s sink our teeth into it. (Pun intended.)
1. What are Complete Dentures?
Full dentures are full-arch prosthetic devices that are specifically intended for the replacement of all missing teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw. Full dentures are custom-fabricated removable devices that are specifically fit in your mouth and restore your chewing, speaking, and smiling functions.
2. Types of Complete Dentures
We offer various types of dentures at Partha Dental to meet your functional and aesthetic needs:
1. Traditional Complete Dentures
- Prosthetics created after all the other teeth were extracted and gums have healed.
- Typically within 8–12 weeks following extraction.
2. Immediate Dentures
Placed immediately after tooth extraction.
- Reduces waiting time, but might need to be adjusted since the gums are healing.
3. Implant-Supported Dentures
- Stable dentures by means of dental implants.
- Offer more stability and comfort.
- Best suited for those looking for a more permanent and natural-sounding solution.
4. Partial Dentures
- Recommended if there are remaining natural teeth.
Prevent movement of already existing teeth and close gaps
3. Complete Dentures Treatment Process
At Partha Dental, Hyderabad, our complete dentures process includes:
Step 1 – Your first consultation
During a consultation, the dentist assesses your mouth and teeth, answers your questions, and discusses options.
Step 2 – Measurements and impressions
We accurately take impressions of your mouth so that we can provide you with custom fit dentures.
Step 3 – Make adjustments and try-in
Once we develop a trial denture, we have an idea of how effective the bond will be and adjust or correct it before we fabricate the final denture.
Step 4 – Final denture placement
After determining the best fit, we insert the final dentures and talk about maintenance and care.
Step 5 – Follow visits
We offer follow up visits to address any discomfort and ensure best long term outcome. Read more

7. FAQs – Dentures
Q1. Will my dentures come out when I’m talking or eating?
It is a common fear—especially if you are at a wedding or giving a toast! But unless you have not been fitted with a proper denture (like one from Partha Dental!) this should not be something you should worry about. We will make sure to fit you well, and you can use denture adhesives or implant-supported options if you want peace of mind and security.
Q2. Will dentures effect how I speak?
Yes, but only temporarily. When you initially get dentures, your tongue and muscles need some time for it to feel comfortable, so your voice may have a slight different sound for a couple days. To work through the foibles, read aloud or practice tongue twisters at home (seriously!).
Q3. What if I laugh really hard—will they pop out?
Unless you are in a slapstick movie, it is unlikely! With what we know in dentures today, dentures will stay in place due to suction, a good fit and optional denture adhesive after you laugh that huge laugh. So go ahead and laugh at that funny joke. Your denture will hold up!
Q4. Are implant supported dentures better than conventional dentures?
Yes, implant supported dentures provide more comfort, function and stability. They do cost more however, as surgery is required.
Q5. Will I be in pain wearing dentures?
There is usually a little discomfort while your mouth adjusts, however, with the proper adjustment and eventual fit, dentures can be comfortable.
Q6. Can I have pani puri, corn on the cob, or biryani with dentures?
With a little practice yes! You probably want to avoid super hard or super sticky foods at the beginning (depending on your comfort level) but most denture wearers find that they can enjoy a lot of their everyday meals. And yes, Hyderabadi biryani is back on the table, but try not to chew too fast at first.
Q7. Will dentures cause me to look older?
Quite the opposite! Well-fitting dentures will restore facial volume, and facial support to the cheeks and lips that can prevent that sunken look of the face from missing teeth before. A lot of our patients say that they feel young and look younger by the restoration of their smile.
Q8. How am I going to deal with these awkward situations of removing dentures in public?
In short…don’t! Remove your dentures in a bathroom,…if you can’t help it it’s probably only in private buildings (ie. your home) so you will not be embarrassing yourself. But just in case you are ever in a situation (like a long train ride or staying over), have a little denture case and package in your bag for discreet convenience.
Q9. Can I sleep with my dentures?
Technically, yes, but it is advised to remove your dentures in the evening.
